Sketches! {by tamara} is back! AndI am looking for 10 People to Join the Sketches! Design Team.Those who have been on the Sketches! Design Team in the past are able to re-apply.
I am doing things a bit different than usual.In years past, I have had mulitiple Design Teams for different Sketches and Challenges. This time, however, I am only having one Design Team.
The Design Team Members need to be able to scrap both Layouts and Cards. I will upload a new Sketch or Challenge each Tuesday. We will rotate between Sketches and Challenges as follows:
After week 4, we will start the rotation again.And that is why it is important that the Design Team be able to scrap both Layouts and Cards.
Design Team Members will be given a months worth of Sketches and Challenges at a time to work on. For example, all new Design Team Members will be given four Sketches and Challenges on December 5th and will be expected to return their items to me no later than December 31st. Each Month will be similar.
Each Design Team Member is responsible for turning in one Recipe Challenge and one Journaling Challenge to me at the beginning of their Design Team Term. Those Challenges will be used during the Design Team Term as I see fit. Design Team Members will get credit on the blog for all Challenges they create.
Sketches! Design Team Term will be for four months. January 1 – April 30.
Design Team members are to promote the Sketches! {by tamara} blog on their personal blogs and Message Boards.
Design Team members are required to have a Sketches! {by tamara} Blinkie, along with a link to the Sketches! {by tamara} blog on their personal blogs.
Being on the Sketches! Design Team is something that is done without pay. I do the sketches blog for fun and make no money on it. Therefore, I can not pay someone for their part in helping out with the Sketches! Blog. Basically, we all do it for the love we have of for scrapping.
For those interested, email me a link to your blog preferably, or online gallery where I can see your work. Please make sure you have both cards and layouts on your blog or in your online gallery for me to see. If you don't have a blog or online gallery, you can send me two completed layouts AND cards you have recently made. Please email me at scrapbooksketches@gmail.com . Please put "Sketches! Design Team" in the subject line.
Deadline is December 4th.
New Design Team Members will be announced on the blog on December 5th and your first Layout or Card being posted on the blog on January 5th, 2010.
Yes, Sketches! {by tamara} will be returning. I have had so many inquiries of when and if I am coming back. I just needed time. But I have missed my weekly updates here on the Sketches! Blog.
I am going to mix things up a bit when I actually do come back. You can look for a design team call in the next few days.
Just wanted to share my news that I am indeed returning.
I know a lot of you are going to read this and just want to glance to see who the new Card Design Team Members are. But please read this very carefully, because not only am I announcing the Card Design Team Members on here, I am also announcing a second Design Team and what it is for. {smiles}
We had over 100 people apply to be on the Sketches! Card Design Team. And I went through each submission at least two times. This was not an easy task for me. I picked out my top 9 and sent it off to ten Card and Layout Design Team Members. I value the Design Team Members and their opinions. Everyone voted for their top 5 and the ones with the most points are our new Sketches! Card Design Team Members.
I thank each and everyone of you who applied. Oh my goodness, the talent and creativity was amazing. I encourage those of you who didn't make the Design Team to re-apply during our next Sketches! Card Design Team Call.

Now, on to the second group of names. Back when I first started this blog, I used to have Scrapping Recipe Challenges. For one reason or another, I stopped doing them. But I have decided to bring it back a long with a group of Design Team Members. Every Tuesday, you will be challenged to use three things on a card or layout. There are 5 Design Team Members who will make cards and 5 who will make Layouts to help inspire you. Some of the Design Team Members are familiar faces around here. Others are past Guest Designers here at Sketches. And lastly, there are some who simply are new to Sketches! I am sure you will be inspired by what each person has to offer.

I am so thrilled to announce that starting next Saturday, March 22nd, and continuing each and every Saturday, Sketches! {by tamara} will be featuring a Guest Designer.
Now, who will these Guest Designer's be? They will be YOU! I am pleased to tell ya that I am planning on choosing my very talented readers. Each week, I will choose someone who has uploaded recently a card or a layout from using my sketches and that person will be spotlighted here on the Sketches! Blog. So if you want to be chosen, you need to let me know in some shape or form that you are using my sketches. If you don't want to link your card or layout to the blog, you can always email me the link to where your work is.
How will it work? If you are chosen, you will get an email from me asking if you would like to be a Sketches! Guest Designer. If you so choose to accept, you will be able to choose a previous card or layout sketch that we have had up on the Sketches! Blog. Maybe it is one of your favorite Sketches so far. Or maybe one you haven't used before but wanted to. But it has to be a new layout made for your Sketches! Guest Designer Spot. Not something we have already seen. You will have 2 weeks to get your layout or card emailed to me. Plus, a photo of you....only if you wish, and a short bio about you that you would like others to know. This will be YOUR day.
I will be alternating between a layout sketch and a card sketch. I don't want just cards for a month long and I don't want just layouts for a month long. Does that make sense? And just for a heads up, next weekend is a layout sketch. Our Sketches! Guest Designer has been hard at work getting everything ready for our first upload. So you card sketch users, get uploading and be on the look out for an email from me this weekend.
I am very excited about this addition to the Sketches! {by tamara} Blog. And I hope you are too! And remember, each and everyone of you can be a Guest Designer here. All you have to do is share your creations with me!
