Guest Designer: Cathy La Hay

Hi,
My name is Cathy La Hay and I’m thrilled to have been
asked to be the guest designer for Sketches! {by tamara}
for the month of May.
A bit about my self and my style......
I have been Scrapbooking and creating since 2004. I have
a serious love for 12 x 12 but found myself running out of
stuff to scrap about. One day I decided to give cards a try
and low and behold, I loved it.
When creating a card, I view it as a mini layout. I pick an
embellishment that I want to be my center of focus and create
around it, just as I would if it were a layout.
I really enjoyed working with Tamara’s sketch. When she
sent it to me, I knew right away that I was in BIG LOVE with
it. It appears to be a simple sketch but I looked into it deeper
and came up with this card. I hope you like it and find inspiration
from the sketch as well as my take on it.
