Card Sketch #24

I am so very excited that Christmas is in 5 days. I took my Mom and Sister to the airport yesterday to return to America. And now, our house is filled with just us. It hasn't been that way since the beginning of October. And I am really excited for our family to have time a lone before we have more people staying with us at the end of January.

And since this is the last card sketch before Christmas, I just want to send out a few thank you's. First off, even though this Design Team is new, I want to thank each of them. I had people who helped me from the beginning to supply samples of my sketches. They were my friends and I appreciate them as well. And thank you to each and every person who stops in to see what is happening here at Sketches! I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!

Also, I will not be doing a Sketch next week. I am taking the week between Christmas and New Year's off so that not only I can devote my time with my family, but each Design Team Member can do the same. And if my dates are accurate, I will have the next Card Sketch up on January 3rd.

Happy Holidays!

12 x 12 Layout Sketch #23

Happy Monday!

I am really excited to be here at home today and able to share a new sketch. I have been doing a lot of traveling the last two weeks with my family in town and I am happy I have a day to re-coup a bit. It is my sons 9th Birthday and I couldn't be away from him on his special day.

Thank you so much to the Design Team for their fabulous Layouts. The Sketches! Blog would not be the same without their contributions.

If you use the sketch for inspiration and would be willing to share your layout, just leave the link in the comment section.

Have a fabulous day!

12 X 12 Layout Sketch #22

I want to start by apologizing for my absence on the computer this past week. And especially because it will continue for the next week or two. My mom and sister are visiting us from America and so we are busy doing a lot of traveling and site seeing. I spent Friday with them in Amsterdam, Netherlands and Saturday in Brugge, Belguim. But the one thing I will be consistant on is the layout sketch and card sketch. No matter what we are doing, I will find the time to upload a new sketch.

I am really loving all the layouts from the design team. I hope you are as well. I want to thank Beth, Leslie and Shannon for the great layouts this week!

Have a fabulous Week!

Card Challenge #6

Now that Thanksgiving is past, the Holiday Season is here upon us. There is so much to do: All the shopping that needs to be done, the cards that need to be sent, the present that need to be wrapped. So I thought I would help us out a bit with this weeks card challenge.

So for todays Card Challenge, I want you to make a Christmas Card. But somehow, that seems all too easy, right? So there is a second part to todays challenge. Make your Christmas Card Blue.

I can't wait to see your blue Christmas Card. If you feel like sharing, please post a link here in the Comment section.

Have a great day!

Recipe Challenge #12

These challenges can be used on cards or layouts.

I will give a list of three items that must be used on a card or layout. When you complete a card or layout with these specific items, then you can post that you completed the challenge in the comment section. I would love to see all the cards and layouts you create using this recipe.

Now, I know the question is going to be asked, so I am going to answer it now. Are you limited to only the items listed? The answer is No. You can use as many items on your layout as you wish. But the minimum on it must be what is listed in the recipe.

Create a card or layout using the following items:

  • Something more than 6 months old
  • Rub Ons
  • Heart
As usual, if you would like to share your take on this challenge, link it up in the comment section.
Have a great day Everyone!

Card Challenge #5

Sorry I am later than normal to upload todays card challenge. I went to the Netherlands today and this is the first chance I have had to get on the computer.

Todays Card Challenge has to do with something sparkly. While visiting my friend last week in Frankfurt, she brought me some fun scrap goodies. And one thing I got was Stickles. Do you own any stickles? If so, use them on your card this week. If not, take this opportunity to go buy some and give them a try. Or, you can use any form of glitter you want.

Let's see your cards you make. Just post a link in the comment section.

Have a Fabulous Day!

12 X 12 Layout Sketch #20

Just want to remind everyone that today is the last day to send a layout in to become a member of Sketches! Layout Design Team. It doesn't matter where you live or what your scrapping style is. Remember, you need to submit a layout to scrapbooksketches@gmail.com before midnight tonight. You can find a link to all the details at the top of the blog here.

This week's sketch is a 4 photo sketch. Remember your layout doesn't have to be exactly like the sketch. The sketch is there to help with inspiration. You will notice that my layout only has 3 photos on it. That is what worked best with the photos I had to work with.

If you use the sketch, I would love to see your layout you create. Just link it up in the comment section if you feel like sharing.

Have a super day everyone! Tomorrow is our Card Challenge Day. Hope you come back and check it out!
