These challenges can be used on cards or layouts.

I will give a list of three items that must be used on a card or layout. You are not limited to only the three items listed. You can use as many items on your layout or cards as you wish. But the minimum on it must be what is listed in the recipe.

This weeks Recipe came from Suzy, one of the Recipe Design Team Members.

Create a card or layout using the following items:

  • Stitching or Sewing
  • Hardware
  • Embossing (dry or wet)

Check out what the Design Team did with this recipe.

As usual, if you would like to share your take on this challenge, link it up in the comment section. Your layout or card could be featured here on the Sketches! Blog for our Friday Inspiration next week.

Have a great day Everyone!

Sketches! Guest Designer:- Jackie Giering

I am so excited to announce this weeks Sketches! Guest Designer is:-

JACKIE GIERING

Hi my name is Jackie (though most people call me Jak) and I live in sunny Worcestershire (UK) with my husband of nearly 27 years.

We have 4 grown-up children and 2 gorgeous grandbabies, who tend to feature a lot on my layouts.

Ive always liked crafts and back in 2003 I thought I would try my hand at cardmaking. Not knowing where to start I decided to browse the net and came by scrapbooking purely by accident. I havent looked back since, oh and the card making? It never did happen!

Ive been published several times in UK scrap mags and am currenty a DT member of the challenge blog Scrap Schemes.

My biggest source of inspiration is from sketches and fellow bloggers, you'll often find me hanging out here browsing the sketches or on 52sketches52weeks.com. For my layout, Ive taken inspiration from Layout Sketch #86.

You can see more of my layouts and DT work at http://cestlevie23.blogspot.com/ I am absolutely thrilled to be the Guest Designer on this this weeks Sketches, thanks for asking me.

I asked Jackie to choose a Layout Sketch to work with and she chose Sketch #86.

And here is her her layout using the Sketch.

Card Sketch #88

For the next few weeks, we are going to be having "A Blast From The Past" here at the Sketches! {by tamara} blog. What that means, is we will be featuring a Sketch that has been previously seen either here at the Sketches! Blog or one that I have designed for other websites.

It has been awhile since we have had a round card sketch. So I decided to bring one back this week. I am so excited to show you what the design team did with this sketch. And I am even more excited to see what YOU do with it.

If you decide to use this sketch, we would love to see it. Just leave a link in the comment section of where we can find it. Your layout *could* be featured here on the Sketches! Blog next week for our Friday Inspiration.

Have a great week!
