Happy Monday!

I have just returned from a long weekend trip with my family. We visited Dresden and Prague. It was a lot of time in the car but such beautiful places to visit. I have lots of pictures to scrap. I can't wait to get started on them.

This week is no different than every other week. The design team did an amazing job with their layouts. Check them out.

If you decide to use the sketch, we would love to take a peek at your layout. Just give us a link in the comment section so we can check it out.

Hope you have a great week!

Sketches! Guest Designer: Susie Blackwell

I am excited to announce that this weeks Sketches! Guest Designer is:

Susie Blackwell

Firstly I would like to thank Tamara for asking me to Be a Guest Designer on Sketches.

I started out as a Watercolour Painter but I am now predominately I’m a Card maker. I started a little under two years ago after my sister bought me a kit for my Birthday, well I finished that one in less than a day and went straight out to buy another. So there’s me two weeks down the line utterly hooked. In an Ideal work I would love to be a work at home Freelance Designer ,but I expect I in a very long queue!!!!!!!!

In the real world I’m Mum to two Daughter and one Son & Partner of James for 8 years. I work Part time as a Registered Nurse for an Agency, ( No two day’s the same) and I volunteer for My local Ambulance service as a Community First Responder.

I started Blogging in October 2007 and its become another of my obsessions. I try to blog daily but unfortunately work has a tendency to get in the way! A couple of my blogging world friend and I started a New Challenge blog to encourage papercrafts to try new things, our blog has been going for 5 weeks now and we’ve been having some real fun ( http://thisthursday.wordpress.com )

My plans for the future are to develope and discover new crafts ( well anything that doesn’t involve needles!!) James and I are due to marry in a few weeks and I will be attempting my first scrapbook.

Thank you again Tamara
Best wishes
Susie xx

Card Sketch #54

Good Morning!

I am currently on vacation in Dresden and Prague and I am trying out the automatic posting by blogger. This is something I stubbled across earlier in the week and really hope it works.

This week is another round sketch! And I have to say, the Design Team is amazing. Take a look at the cards they made. They seriously ROCKED the sketch!

I want to thank each of them for getting their cards to me early this week so I could go out of town again. Two trips back to back. They are amazing women. Thank you very much for putting up with my crazy schedule this summer!

Hope everyone has a great rest of the week and weekend. I will be home Sunday and can't wait to see all the cards uploaded in the comment section!

Sketches! Design Team Spotlight: Edleen Maryam

I am excited to announce that this weeks Sketches! Design Team Spotlight is:

Edleen Maryam

Edleen has been a member of the Sketches! {by tamara} Design Team since January 31, 2008. Here is what Edleen had to say about herself:

Hi Everyone! I'm Edleen Maryam. I'm married to Ron and we have 4 Beautiful kids together. I'm from the Sunny Island of Singapore.

I've always enjoyed photography since I was given a camera when I was about 10 years old. And with all those photographs I would scrapbook them into an album with stickers and cut outs from wrapping papers! Those days there were no Acid Free products but since November 2005, I've been hooked when I started going to my LSS :)

I'd like to Thank Tamara for having me on her team @ Sketches! Blog. It's always fun putting a page together using her sketches.

Now do that thing you do whenever someone's taking a photo of you, "Smile!" Have Groovie Fun Always!

I asked Edleen to choose her favorite Layout she has made since being on the Sketches! Design Team. She chose Layout Sketch #49.

Thank You very much Edleen for being on the Sketches! Layout Design Team. Your layouts are always AMAZING! And I always look forward to seeing your fabulous creations.

Sketches! Guest Designer: Marcea Watkins

I am excited to announce that this weeks Sketches! Guest Designer is:

Marcea Watkins

I would first like to say a huge thankyou to Tamara for asking me to be the guest designer for this week, I am so thrilled to have been asked and still can't quite believe it.

My name is Marcea and I have been happily married for 17 years to my wonderful husband, Glen. We have a great son called Ryan (15) and 2 rather mad boxer dogs. I am a nurse and work 4 days a week at a local surgery but still manage to find plenty of time for this card making addiction of mine. I suppose I am still pretty new to card making - I made my first card last July and have not been able to stop since!. I started off making mostly decoupage cards but was recently introduced to stamping a couple of months ago.

I have to admit that I adore stamping and was so excited when my Prisma pencils arrived this week. I think these will now feature heavily in my card making. You may have also noticed that I am rather fond of flowers and brads too (they are just too lovely not to use). I have only set up my blog 2 weeks ago and would love it if you all stopped by for a peep at my cards and said hello. You can find my blog at www.marceascraftingcorner.blogspot.com . I love taking part in the many challenges and they are a great way to get you to try new things. I love the inspiration that everyone provides and the friendliness shown by so many people.

It was so difficult choosing just one of Tamara's great sketches for today but I finally chose sketch #22. I really enjoyed making this card for you all using this sketch and would like to thank Tamara once again for this opportunity to feature on her blog.

Card Sketch #53

Happy Thursday Everyone!

This week we have another mini card Sketch. It was designed with a 3 x 3 card in mind. But don't let that stop you from creating any other size card. As you can see from the design team's cards, you can adapt this to any size.

I want to thank each of the Design Team members for their contributions and for putting up with me being out of town for a few weeks. And a huge thank you to Carol for uploading the Sketches each week while I was gone.

I had a fabulous time in America and can't wait for two years to go by so I can go again.

If you use the sketch, we would love to see what you made. Just post a link to your work in the comment section.

Have a great day!
